REQUIRED DANCE ATTIRE
Preschool Beginners / Intermediates (Ages 2 1/2 - 9)
Wear caramel tyette tap shoes (Please make sure tap shoes have a good thumb pinch in the toe to allow for grow room)
No one should be in a narrow width shoe unless thay have a very narrow foot.
Wear the pink beginner ballet shoes with no split sole.
Intermediate (Ages 10 - up)
I prefer the caramel slip on tap shoe or the tie jazz shoe (with a split sole). These shoes should also have grow room
in the toe and should not slip up and down on the heel.
Wear the pink ballet shoe with the split sole (either leather or canvas) I personally like the leather split sole for the intermediate/advanced ballet student.
Pointe shoes are for the more advanced student. Each student must be fitted with the proper shoe for their foot., therefore the style ;may vary for each individual.
Jazz,Hip-Hop and Baton:
Wear the slip-on style gore boot in caramel/tan color.
Leotards and tights:
Any style or color leotard is acceptable for classes. For Parade Day, preschool students will wear pink leotards and Kinderdance and up will wear black leotards. Tights are always required for students 10 and up in all classes. Ages 10 and under may wear thin white socks for class. Sports shorts are not acceptable for ballet classes.
Long hair should be in a ponytail or bun. Short hair must be clamped away from face.
A Dance Bag labeled with the student's name will be needed to carry all dance attire In addition, all shoes should be labeled with the student's name. Parents should be observant during the year to be sure children have not outgrown their shoes.
Dance shoes should not be worn outside of the studio.
NOTE: Shoes and attire can be ordered from Dance Shoes and TuTus in Augusta, GA, Amazon.com or DiscountDance.com
